Our Story

Jean’s Floral is a full service flower shop for all of your floral needs offering fresh flowers, silks and live plants (green and flowering) with delivery to Glencoe, Silver Lake, Hutchinson, Lester Prairie, Winsted and the surrounding areas.

History of Jean’s Floral:

The shop was started by Jean Penas, who had a deep passion for creativity, beauty, and an eye for detail. What started as a hobby, including cake decorating, ceramics and then silk floral arrangements for all occasions, eventually turned into a business called Jean’s Floral and Craft sometime around 2004 offering both fresh and silk arrangements for weddings, funerals, anniversaries, birthdays, fundraisers, and any other event you could think of. After Jean passed away in March of 2017, the shop was closed.

In the months that passed, I have kept on with providing service to our local Churches for Christmas, Easter and other events, fundraisers, and a few other things here and there for friends. Many people have asked whether or not I had thought of re-opening the shop because they felt there was a need for a local florist in the Silver Lake area.

You asked for it! After being closed for nearly a year and a half, Jean’s Floral re-opened on August 1, 2018! Jean’s Floral remains out on the farm as in the past, but now has a new phone number and a new e-mail address for you to reach us. You can also find us on Facebook and Instagram!
